2021 CODA December Honor Orchestra

We look forward to the return of our annual high school December Honor Orchestra event this year. As an updated event for 2021 given ongoing safety protocols, we will be hosting two in-person, simultaneous, one-day events on December 4th, 2021. One will take place in Northern California, and one in Southern California; students from Central CA will have the option to choose which event they would be able to travel to. Both in-person Honor Orchestras will have the opportunity to hear the other ensemble play in an all-new concert format.

Event Locations:
Northern California- Gunn High School, Palo Alto, CA
Southern California- John Adams MS Performing Arts Center, Santa Monica, CA

At both locations student check-in will be at 8:30am and the approximate end of the concert at the end of the day will be at 6:00pm.

Accepted students should fill out the registration forms located in your student account at your earliest convenience.  Forms for these students may also be accessed through the associated Director’s account. These forms must be completed and submitted online as well as printed, signed and emailed to the CODA Office, tadams@codaorchestras.org, by Monday, November 8, 2021.

To access these forms, students will need to log in to the same student account which was used to submit your audition.  Here is a link to the login page on the CODA website.  You can access the participation forms by clicking the blue “Accepted Students Participation Forms” link on your dashboard.  This link is located in the upper right hand corner, just above your list of current auditions.

Applicable forms include:
Student Contract – Check all information, print, sign, and email.
Health Information Form – Add applicable health information, print, sign, and email.
Payment Form – Online form that does not need to be printed, only submitted.

Music will be distributed in early November.  If you have not received the music by Friday, November 12, please email Trish Adams at tadams@codaorchestras.org.  Since this is a one-day event, we ask that you practice the music as much as possible prior to December 4.

Covid 19 Vaccination Requirement:
For the 2021 CODA Honor Orchestra Ensembles, all students are required to be fully vaccinated. If you wish to apply for an exemption to this requirement, please complete this form: https://forms.gle/5vEVuR7ucdYRAN5m8 Your request and documentation will be reviewed by our leadership team. If your exemption request is granted, you/your student will need to provide a negative COVID PCR test taken within 72 hours of participation.
